The heart blanket that I knitted last month has finally winged it's way across to the other side of the world (Australia to England), and now is the proud property of Millie..who can be seen here graciously modelling it...how cute is that!?! :-D
...ok, after a few months of lurking (and admiring!) over on the Wardrobe Refashion blog, I though that it was time to jump in and take the pledge :-D
I figured that if I was gonna do this, I may as well commit myself for the whole 6 months!
The Pledge:
I, Linda, pledge that I shall abstain from the purchase of "new" manufactured items of clothing, for the period of 6 months. I pledge that I shall refashion, renovate, recycle pre-loved items for myself with my own hands in fabric, yarn or other medium for the term of my contract. I pledge that I will share the love and post a photo of my refashioned, renovated, recycled, crafted or created item of clothing on the Wardrobe Refashion Blog, so that others may share the joy that my thriftiness brings! The rug and the model both look great!! Good luck with 'The Pledge'. I won't take one because there is such a dearth of green jeans and shoes, that I stock up where-ever and when-ever I can!! I can't NOT have them!!
